Neither rain nor snow kept the amazing vegan community from attending this year's Sedona VegFest! For the second year in a row, Heather Foods was front and center serving up delicious plant-based cookies, "cheese"cakes, and mousse. We brought our special whole food plant based Lemon Shortbread cookies again (we created the recipe for Sedona VegFest 2017 to support their WFPB focus) and sold out within a few hours. So great to see people interested in WFPB treats! With a fabulous speaker lineup including Dr. Esselstyn, Dr. Klaper, Keegan Kuhn, and Brenda Davis, to name a few, it was 2 days of wholesome fun.
With over 20 exhibitors this year, participants pallets were tantalized by a wide variety of food and beverage samples. We were happy to see our fellow vegan vendors back this year, excited to meet new ones, and great to see our Las Vegas friends Virgin Cheese and Timeless Turmeric who joined this year too. A film crew was onsite to capture participants experiences and even interviewed our own Melissa McClendon to learn more about Heather Foods and our experience at Sedona VegFest. Be sure to keep an eye on the Sedona VegFest site to see the interviews!
Even though the Saturday sky was cloud filled and rainy we caught glimpses of Sedona's natural beauty through breaks in the clouds and the snow that evening was breathtaking. The light dusting of snow Sunday morning was following by clear skies, really highlighting all that Sedona has to offer.
As the sun set on Sunday we packed up and bid adieu to the beautiful Sedona landscape. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!
